This Saturday marks the 3 year anniversary of Big Island Grown’s Waimea dispensary! We are not only celebrating the opening of our second location but the opening of Waimea’s first medical cannabis dispensary.
Waimea’s dispensary is our satellite location toward the middle of town, and although it may be the smallest location they still have a BIG patient demographic to serve. Waimea is in a perfect middle ground to help service our patients from Kohala to Waikoloa and anyone who may be passing through.
Waimea, also known as Kamuela, is referred to as “Cold Country'' because of its pasture landscape, crisp air, and paniolo lifestyle. Paniolos are the Cowboys of Hawaii, and have a long history on the island, specifically in Waimea. In and around Waimea is Parker Ranch, the largest privately owned cattle ranch in the United states. When in Waimea town, it is obvious that these paniolo roots run deep.
